Eric's Project - Part 37

(3/13/01):  Now that the silver has dried, its time to topcoat it with por-15 chassiscoat black.  Here are a few pics of it:

Once I was done painting the por-15 chassiscoat black, I let it sit overnight again to dry.  Again you can notice my patch for the tiny hole I found.  I also fount a few more that are hidden from view... seems someone tried to rip off the jack points on the pan, and it left a few holes (1 small one on each side)  these were also patched.  One small "trick" that I used to find holes was 1) while your cleaning/painting look under the car and see if you have coated your garage/driveway with por-15, and 2) I used a BRIGHT fluorescent light and put it underneath the car, and turned out the lights in the garage; any light coming through the pan was obviously a hole.  I patched them all, so its now watertight!

Stay tuned for part 38, where I install the carpet!
