Eric's Summer Project - Part 26

(10/28-29/00):  Put the finishing touches on the fanshroud...  I finally joined the rear piece to the front piece, crimped the edges, re-welded it, and welded the heater outlets back on.  Then I cleaned up all the welds, and primed the front face.  Once primed, I was able to find all the major 'dips', and imperfections.  I used a body putty to fill these in, and wet sanded everything.  Once finished, I put the finish coat of gloss black on it (from a spray can).

Here's what it looked like, once it was joined, welded, and primed.  All the grind spots you can see are where it was welded.

Side view (notice the HUGE type 4 oil cooler housing.

Here's the final product.  Its not 100% perfect, but I'm the only one that can tell that :-)
