Eric's Summer Project - Part 21

(10/1-3/00):  Got the custom cut ChroMoly pushrods back from www.aircooled.net   They look awesome, and fit like a glove!  I went ahead and lubed everything up, and installed the pushrods, lash caps, and ratio rockers.  Then I decided to start working on the cylinder tin; It needed to be modified to accept the intake manifold.

Here are 4 of the pushrods, in all their glory...

Here's a pic of what the lash caps look like...  These fit over the end of the valve to help keep the ratio rocker from 'eating up' the end of the valves (its a whole lot easier to replace lash caps, than valves).

This is what it looks like with the lash cap installed on one of the valves.

Here's what the rockers look like...  Genuine 1.4 ratio rockers made by scat.

In this pic, everything is installed, and adjusted!

This is how I modified my cylinder tin, to accept the new intake manifold.  It was to large to fit in the original opening, so after some trimming, and clearancing, it looks like this. (still need to paint it).

Next thing to do, is to modify the engine tin for the type 4 oil cooler (a conversion), and then modifying it some more, so my dual Weber 44 IDF's will fit atop the manifolds!  Stay tuned for part 22!
